our services

What we handle across AC, heating, plumbing, and electrical.

From AC and heat pumps to plumbing, electrical, and new construction, here's what Strategic Heating & Air handles for homes across Clermont and Central Florida.
What services do you offer in Central Florida?

We're your one stop shop for the home: air conditioning and heat pumps, indoor air quality, plumbing, electrical, and new construction. We repair, replace, and maintain AC systems, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits, and we offer the iWave air purification system and a Preventive Maintenance Program.

Do you install and replace AC systems and heat pumps?

Yes. We install and replace central air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits across Clermont, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Orlando, Tavares, Ocala, and nearby communities. We size every system to the house instead of guessing, so you get steady comfort and lower power bills through the long cooling season.

Do you repair all AC and heat pump brands?

Yes. We service every major brand and model of air conditioner and heat pump, whether it was installed last year or more than 15 years ago.

What indoor air quality services do you offer?

Central Florida humidity is hard on the air inside your home. We install and service the iWave air purification system, which reduces odors and allergens and helps kill mold, bacteria, and viruses, along with upgraded filtration and dehumidification that work with your existing HVAC. If anyone in the home deals with allergies, asthma, or constant congestion, this is where we'd start.

Do you offer plumbing services?

Yes. We handle residential plumbing alongside AC, heating, and electrical, so a job that crosses trades can run under one roof, one schedule, and one point of contact.

Do you offer a maintenance plan or membership?

Yes. Our Preventive Maintenance Program is the best way to keep a system running for years instead of failing on the hottest day of the year. Members get priority service when something breaks, plus scheduled tune-ups, ideally one in spring before peak cooling season and one in fall. Regular maintenance catches small problems early, keeps efficiency up, and helps protect your manufacturer warranty.

pricing

Cost expectations, free estimates, financing, and specials.

Straight answers on what things cost, when estimates are free, and how to find current specials. Every job gets a written quote before any work begins.
Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We provide free estimates on installation and replacement projects, including new AC systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, indoor air quality upgrades, and new construction work. For diagnostic visits on existing equipment, a service call fee may apply, and we credit it toward the cost of any repair you authorize.

How much does a new AC system cost in Central Florida?

It depends on the size of the home, the efficiency rating, and the ductwork. We give a free written, itemized quote after we look at your home, so you're comparing real numbers instead of guesses.

How much does HVAC repair typically cost?

It depends on what's failed. A capacitor is usually in the low hundreds. A blower motor or fan motor runs a few hundred more. A refrigerant leak repair and recharge varies with the leak and the amount of refrigerant needed. A failed compressor on an older system is usually the point where we have an honest conversation about repair versus replacement. The diagnostic fee is credited toward the repair if you move forward.

Do you offer financing?

Financing may be available on qualifying installation and replacement projects. The best thing to do is ask when we provide your estimate, and we'll walk you through the current options so you can choose a comfortable monthly payment instead of paying for the whole project up front.

Do you charge a service call or diagnostic fee?

Estimates on installation and replacement work are always free. For diagnostic visits on existing equipment, a service call fee may apply, and we credit it toward the cost of any repair you authorize. If there's ever a fee for an after-hours call, we tell you up front before we head out.

What are your current specials and discounts?

Our current promotions change with the season, so the best place to check is a quick phone call or our website. Preventive Maintenance Program members get priority service and savings on repairs, and we periodically run discounts on new system installations and seasonal tune-ups. Ask us what's running this month before you book.

How do I schedule service?

Do you offer same-day appointments?

emergencies

Fast emergency response, AC and heat pump triage, and gas safety.

When the AC quits in August, it can't wait. Here's how we handle emergencies and what you can do before we arrive.
Do you offer emergency heating and cooling service?

When your system goes down, we treat it like the emergency it is, because a house with no AC in August isn't something that can wait. Our promise is straightforward: no matter the time of day or the day of the week, call Strategic Heating & Air and we'll respond as fast as we can. Preventive Maintenance Program members get priority when the schedule is full.

What should I do if my heat pump blows cold air in winter?

Check that the thermostat is set to heat and the batteries are good, and look for a tripped breaker. A heat pump runs a defrost cycle on cold mornings, so a few minutes of cool air can be normal. If the house still isn't warming up, or the outdoor unit is iced over, call us.

What should I do if my AC stops working in summer?

Set the thermostat to cool below room temperature, check the batteries, reset any tripped breaker, and replace a dirty filter. In Florida, a clogged condensate drain is a common culprit, and many systems have a safety switch that shuts the AC off when the drain backs up. If you see ice or water around the indoor unit, shut the system off and call us.

Why is my AC freezing up or running constantly?

A frozen AC almost always traces back to one of three things: a clogged air filter choking off airflow, a low refrigerant charge from a slow leak, or a failing blower. A system that runs nonstop without cooling is usually low on refrigerant, has a dirty outdoor coil, or is undersized for the heat load. Don't keep running a frozen unit, because the ice can damage the compressor. Shut it off, let it thaw for a few hours, and call us to find the real cause.

What should I do if I smell gas in my home?

If you smell gas, get everyone out of the house first, then call 911 or your gas utility's emergency line from outside. Don't flip light switches, light a match, or use the phone inside, and don't start a car in an attached garage. Once the utility confirms the area is safe, call Strategic Heating & Air for licensed repair of your gas appliance or gas line. Your safety comes before the equipment, every time.

How quickly can you respond to an emergency?

Response time depends on the time of day, the weather, and how far the nearest technician is. Calls around Clermont and Lake County are usually fastest, and we send the closest available technician to keep your wait as short as possible.
